The Fifth Avenue department store beat the likes of Neiman Marcus, Nordstrom, Barneys New York and Bloomingdales, to be ranked by the 2008 Luxury Customer Experience Index (LCEI) survey - from the independent New York-based Luxury Institute - as the US's most prestigious luxury retailer. According to The Daily, the store proved to be most popular with women over 50-years-old with a net income of $150,000 to $199,000 and a net worth of under $1million. The quality of it merchandise and attention to customer service was also noted.
